Mostly DSPAM just segfaults and the socket stays there but the client can not connect to the socket since DSPAM is not there to respond. But this is not only limited to the client/server mode. Normal mode does not work as well. Just crashes.

Steve,
I baked an rpm of (the new, multi-patched) CVS without
--enable-bnr-debug and --enable-verbose-debug - but with --enable-debug
- and it runs stably.
Next I built with all of the debugs and it crashed with an enormous
back-trace that, I must admit, meant nothing to me. Then I built with
--enable-debug and --enable-verbose-debug and it didn't crash. Only I
got a load of shit in /var/log/maillog and in $DSPAMHOME/log/sql.errors
that I didn't want, so I rebuilt with the original spec.
So it's --enable-bnr-debug which is crashing my daemon. But since that's
such an exotic feature, I don't feel like pursuing it.
